The Workshop - Muharram Poetry Writing with Tasbiha Batool

ZOOM RSVP

Join us virtually as we embark on the journey to Karbala. For centuries, poetry has been the moving force in dispersing Imam Husayn’s message. Join us for an interactive poetry writing workshop to engage our creative senses and to commemorate the message to Imam Husayn. This workshop is open to beginner’s and experienced writers.

Tasbiha Batool is currently working as a lawyer in Houston, Texas. She graduated from UChicago law school in 2022 where she and her husband Ali Khan spent time in the Sacred Roots community. She has written poetry for much of her life and has always endeavored to help pioneer new forms of Muslim creative and artistic expression
