Sacred Roots will host a conversation with Shaykh Hashim exploring how the story of Imam Husayn’s movement should help inspire us in our work with community building, teaching Islam in the United States, and determining one’s duty in the course of our journey back to God.
Shaykh Hashim studied Islam at UC Berkeley with Dr. Hamid Algar for over 20 years. He also spent time studying in Qumm at Madrasah Imam Khomeini. He is an activist working alongside Muslims and non-Muslims alike to make the world a better place.
