Join us for a four-part series of workshops on prayer (al-Ṣalāh) based on the Jaʿfarī school of thought—founded upon understanding the Qur’an, the Prophetic Way (Sunnah), and the teachings of the Family of the Prophet (Ahl al-Bayt).

Session 2: The Types of Prayer | The Times of the Obligatory Prayers | The Form of the Prayer | Its Symbolic Meanings | Developing Humility and Focus
February 18th, 6:00 - 8:00 pm
Session 3: The Meanings of the Surahs and Glorifications of the Prayer - Brief Explorations of al-Fatihah and al-Ikhlas | Memorizing the Surahs
February 25th, 6:00 - 8:00 pm
Session 4: The Qunut | The Recommended Prayers | The Purposes and Forms of Congregational Prayer
These workshops will run as a single course on prayer led by Sacred Roots' Resident Scholar Shaykh Trent Carl. We strongly encourage that you register and attend all 4 sessions, as each session builds on the other. That said, if you cannot commit to all four then each should still be of some benefit as a standalone session. We will serve dinner at 8:00 PM following each class.
