    • Session 1: The Nature of Worship | The History of Prayer | Spiritual and Social Purposes and Effects | Pre-Requisites of Purity of Clothing, Body, and Soul

  • February 4th, 6:00 - 8:00 pm

    • Session 2:  The Types of Prayer | The Times of the Obligatory Prayers | The Form of the Prayer |  Its Symbolic Meanings | Developing Humility and Focus

    • Session 3:  The Meanings of the Surahs and Glorifications of the Prayer - Brief Explorations of al-Fatihah and al-Ikhlas | Memorizing the Surahs

These workshops will run as a single course on prayer led by Sacred Roots' Resident Scholar Shaykh Trent Carl.  We strongly encourage that you register and attend all 4 sessions, as each session builds on the other. That said, if you cannot commit to all four then each should still be of some benefit as a standalone session. We will serve dinner at 8:00 PM following each class.
